Amanda Kelly has loved math since she was a toddler, especially Algebra! She is originally from west of Philadelphia. Amanda got her Associates Degree in Education from Delaware County Community College and her Bachelors Degree in Adolescent Math Education from Long Island University. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She began teaching here at John Dewey in February of 2015.
Amanda is also very active in the theater department (which is why she is so good at writing bios!) and has choreographed Hairspray, Romeo and Juliet, and most recently, In the Heights (on stage May 11-13 2017). She enjoys reading, dancing, singing, travelling, and exploring the city with her friends.
