Club spotlight!

My Brother’s Keeper the mission of MBK is to “Change the Narrative” of boys and young men of color, and all students, by closing and eliminating the opportunity gaps they face. MBK also helps them to reach their full potential.  Mr. Prempeh and Mr. Megie who run and founded the club, felt as though it was important to incorporate a community service aspect to their club.  Every month through the end of the school year they take the students in the club to volunteer for various causes and organizations.  The picture where the young men are dressed was at the MBK launch at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens with Superintendent Prayor. It was an amazing event.  The community service event also pictured was attended by the young men of MBK, also attending were member of WOCA. WOCA or Women Of Color Alliance  is another club in our school.  Our students volunteered with an organization called Publicolor to paint the Bronx Park Middle School in the Bronx.  Keep up the good work everyone.
