In addition, Ms. Gattuso (Parent Coordinator) and your child’s guidance counselor are available from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. everyday via email. If you need the email address for your child’s teachers, guidance counselor or any other JDHS staff member you can find it on the school’s website www.JohnDeweyHighSchool.org.
Two additional websites have been set up by the DOE to help your child who might be having connectivity issues.
- Students can learn how to find their DOE accounts and log in – Student Accounts (DOE Website)
- Students can reset their DOE account password – Student DOE Account Password Reset Page (DOE Website)
If your child does not have access to an internet-connected device he/she will be able to borrow a device from the school on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Additionally, if you cannot make it to school on Thursday, the Department of Education has arranged to make iPads available for students. Parents will need to complete a survey in order to help the DOE to prioritize distribution of these devices.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the school via email and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Please remind your child to practice social distancing and to wash his/her hands regularly.
