Social Studies

Sam Rosenblum

The essence of history is learning from the past, so you can shape where we are headed. The Social Studies Department offers a variety of courses in which students will explore the globe, examining different cultures and civilizations throughout time. Our teachers are dedicated to inspiring students through teaching and scholarship both within and outside of the classroom. Students use rich content, themes, and big ideas to learn history, geography, economics, civics, citizenship, and government. They also use important skills to “think like historians.” Teachers also include literacy in the social studies classroom. This helps students use evidence from text when reading, writing, and discussing.
