TEACHER ADVOCATE PROGRAM
The teacher advocate program is designed to help students who are very close to failing academically and/or are suffering behaviorally. The well thought out idea is it may only take one caring and invested adult to pay attention to keep a student from falling through the cracks.
Position: Mr. Glick & the SEL Team

RECIDIVIST REDUCTION PROGRAM
The SEL team works with the AP of Safety and Dewey Deans as well as the AP of Pupil Personnel Services to minimize recidivism by conducting informal and formal follow ups with students who have been mediated. We also conduct informal and formal follow ups with students who have been suspended multiple times. Intervention measures are implemented when necessary. The relationships formed assist in the continual communication and bonding.
Position: Mr. Glick & the Deans
REINTEGRATION PROGRAM
The SEL team (including deans) work with students returning from long term absences and/or suspensions to create an action plan. We focus on attainable short term goals so the student will avoid making the same mistakes and have a successful transition back into everyday school life. Then we create long term goals together. This is why the check in process is extremely important. Guiding the students to meet their long term goals allows the students to understand it may take a village to achieve goals in life.
