CUNY offers more than 2,800 top-notch academic programs for degree-seeking students. Undergraduate programs will lead to either an associate or the bachelor’s degree. An associate’s degree requires approximately 60 college credits while a bachelor’s typically requires 120 college credits. CUNY Student Affairs has created a centralized department focused on immigrant student success across all 25 campuses. At CUNY, they work to advocate and empower all students across varying and changing statuses such as, but not limited to, undocumented, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), asylum seeking, Temporary Protective Status (TPS), Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), U-Visa recipients, refugee, asylum granted, Cuban-Haitian entrant, parolee, T-visa recipients, persons designated under Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and those in mixed status families.
