Brooklyn FAM is launching the program this fall with the goal of amplifying youth voices in local arts programming and are looking for motivated, responsible, proactive young people who are passionate about the arts and community-building to join their team.  In addition to providing valuable insight and ideas for current and future programming, youth advisors will have the opportunity to co-create a youth-centered community-building project or event of their own for Brooklyn FAM's 2024 season.

We hope you and your family had a wonderful summer break and are excited about the new school year. This summer, the JDHS Instructional Support Team worked very hard to ensure our instructional practices were challenging students to achieve at their full potential. One important project the team worked on was the creation of The Dewey Diagnostic Exam (DDE). The DDE is an academic tool that will be given to all Dewey students on Tuesday, September 12, during periods 3 and 8. The Dewey Diagnostic will test your child’s Math and ELA skills. The results of the exams will be shared with your child’s teachers so that they will know your child’s strengths, weaknesses and gaps.
