Ms. Marino

Hello! I’m Ms. Marino, an English teacher at John Dewey High School. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and earned my degree in Secondary English Education from Brooklyn College.

I believe students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely engaged in what they’re learning. I strive to create an inclusive classroom where students feel comfortable being themselves, sharing their ideas, and growing as both readers and writers. I especially enjoy connecting our lessons to students’ interests and experiences to make ELA feel relevant beyond the classroom.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, playing video games, and spending time with my cat! I’m proud to be part of the John Dewey community and look forward to helping my students grow, find their voices, and feel confident in what they can accomplish.
